latest ICL result

The team travelled to Taunton and Pickeridge today for the return ICL match.  Somehow the Summer weather has been turned off recently and soon after the first 2 pairs set off, the siren sounded as thunder and lightening passed overhead.  While the rest of the pairs sheltered in the starter's hut, a sudden squall blew all their trolleys over when the wind caught the umbrellas on them!  Finally, all the games set off and during the match we seemed to experience all 4 seasons of weather. It's that time of year when finding the ball, even on the fairways proves tricky, especially as, without the extra roll, they somehow don't seem to travel so far.  In the end the matches were hard fought and very close, but the overall result was a 2-5 loss.  Thank you to the team for playing today - somehow I got the impression that despite the weather, they all enjoyed their games.
